Aren’t we all a sucker for a good love story? If you answered “Of course!” , you’re in the right place! One of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer is watching couples light up with glee and excitement from the newness from finding the person they will spend the rest of their lives with! It’s an emotion like no other! How they met. How he proposed. I love all of it! I’ll never forget that time in my life while I was dating the guy that I knew I would marry. My couples always end up asking me “What about you & Hunter?” So I decided to share with you the story of us!
Here’s our story of how we went from a church camp fling to wedding rings!
PART 1: HOW WE MET
PART 2: BEST FRIENDS THAT HELD HANDS
PART 3: FRIDAY NIGHT VICTORY
PART 4: DANCIN’ THE NIGHT AWAY
PART 5: CLASS OF 2014
PART 6: I SAID YES
PART 7: 5,000 MILES APART
PART 8: MAY 15, 2016

The church sanctuary was crowded with all of our family and friends. We each wore a royal blue cap and gown. We were nervous. Yet, we were still so excited for what was about to happen. We were praying that we wouldn’t fall, it would go by quickly, and we were hoping at the same time that it would slow down so we could savor every second. The time had finally arrived. This was our big moment. We would proudly walk across the stage with our heads high and grab our diplomas. It was time to graduate high school!
He was the very first in line. Mr. Hunter Levi Alexander. I still chuckle to this day because he walked down the WRONG path due to the fact he missed graduation practice because he was fishing (His priorities haven’t changed much!). He was actually late to graduation day too for that very same reason. Redfish always took priority over schoolwork until the very end for him! Still, he owned it like a champ and the rest of us followed behind him as the ”Graduation March” played. I stood behind one our closest friends and future groomsmen. I joked with Kyle that he would have to be in charge of making sure Hunter wasn’t late on our wedding day as well!
The rest of the ceremony was a blur. I do remember feeling ready to race into my best friend’s arms. I was ready for Hunter and I to celebrate a moment we had both worked hard for. We had successfully graduated high school together. I’m so proud that we got to tackle that milestone together. Hand in hand.
I could feel in my bones even then that we were going to grow up, accomplish our dreams, and conquer the world together.
