Aren’t we all a sucker for a good love story? If you answered “Of course!” , you’re in the right place! One of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer is watching couples light up with glee and excitement from the newness from finding the person they will spend the rest of their lives with! It’s an emotion like no other! How they met. How he proposed. I love all of it! I’ll never forget that time in my life while I was dating the guy that I knew I would marry. My couples always end up asking me “What about you & Hunter?” So I decided to share with you the story of us!
Here’s our story of how we went from a church camp fling to wedding rings!

PART 8: MAY 15, 2016

The lights were dim. The music had been blaring all night long but this was the very last dance. He wore a rented tuxedo and I had saved for months to be able to buy the dress of my dreams. We were high off of excitement from pretending we were on top of the world. This was the very last time we would dress up and dance all night with our high school friends. It was 2014 and it was senior prom. We held each other close and slow danced to the last few lines of Fun’s “We are Young.”. I have always held onto that moment because I knew it marked the end of an era for us. It was time for us to grow up and figure out whether or not we were meant to be into our adulthood. High school wasn’t going to last forever but I am so glad we had that night.
If you’re reading this, then as it turns out we were meant to be. I still look back on the many pictures of us before dances with happiness and some nostalgia. Homecomings, winter formals, and prom were special occasions that we got to dress up and act like the grown ups we deep down wanted to be. Hunter would pick me up in his shiny 1982 GMC Sierra Classic wearing a rented tuxedo. He was in my eyes by far the most handsome thing I had ever seen. Spending evenings wearing a pretty dress in his truck were the epitome of everything a teenage girl wanted. He made me feel like a princess and his vintage pickup was my carriage. Those nights were so much fun and I am so glad we got to experience them together.
Enjoy the many photographs that come from having the same boyfriend for all of high school’s many special occasions!
