From the lace to the gorgeous blush color palette this afternoon spent in Kentwood, LA was an absolute dream. I want to share some of my favorite shots of The White Magnolia Styled Shoot I was fortunate enough to be apart of!
At first the two weren’t sure if they would be able to get married in front of the old barn on the property due to rain, but we all kept our fingers crossed! As soon as the ceremony finished & Elizabeth & Jason were introduced as Mr. & Mrs. Cross, rain fell from the sky!
Celebrating each couple’s unique romance is what makes being a wedding photographer so fun for me! Each wedding day is special and unique, varying seasons, flowers, and colors, but my love for each of them is always the same. I hope you enjoy my recap of 2019 weddings!
One date reschedule, a venue change, and a few months of worry due to wedding planning in the middle of a pandemic all came to a close this past Saturday as Rachel and Trevor were FINALLY able to begin their life as husband and wife! Their Mississippi Summer Wedding Day was such a dream! I wish I could relive it over again!
I had the honor of photographing Rachel’s sister, Jessica’s wedding day back in 2018. I was of course so excited to be able photograph this wonderful family again given the chance! One of the sweetest details that I was able to photograph again was the pearl necklace that Rachel wore. It was worn on not only her grandmother on her wedding day, but her mother and sister wore it on their wedding days too!Â
Another detail that speaks to how important faith is to Rachel and Trevor both is that her one request of me throughout the entire day was to make sure I had some photos of 1 Corinthians 13 for her. This scripture is how Trevor proposed to her, so naturally it was very special to them! Throughout the ceremony and in fact the entire day, you could feel the spirit of faith and love driving every detail of the wedding.
In addition to faith, Rachel and Trevor have a love agricultural that runs deep in their Mississippi roots. Naturally, it came as no surprise to their friends and family that they rode off into the sunset on the back of a John Deere tractor for their reception exit! I can’t think of a more appropriate getaway car scenario!
Mr. & Mrs. McCurdy, thank you so much for having me come along this journey with you! I am so happy for you both and can’t wait to see the many blessings that your marriage will bring!
