Seeing friends that you grew up with end up immensely happy in their relationships, jobs, and life in general has sincerely been one of the greatest joys I’ve found in adulthood. This past weekend I was able to experience that joy at Destin & Taylor’s New Orleans Wedding Day.

Destin Crain & I have known each other from the early days of elementary school. I can say without a doubt hers is one of the oldest friendships I have. As long as I can remember she has been a sincere, kind, and absolutely wonderful person. She is all of those things and more as an adult. What I love most about Destin is her unending love for her family!

Destin is extremely close with her parents and her brother. Very rarely do you see a family that supports and encourages one another the way the Crain family does. Early last year, their family was met with one of the most difficult challenges that one can face – cancer. Since then, Destin’s father, Mr. Rob, has valiantly fought his diagnosis with love and support from his family as well as their endless army of friends.

The single most important thing to Destin on her wedding day (other than marrying the love of her life!) was to be able to enjoy these moments with her father, and on the flip side for him to enjoy the day too! These two had an emotional first look, walk down the aisle, and first dance. With tears in both of their eyes, I can honestly say I have never seen a bond between father and daughter as strong as theirs.

There is no better person to fit so perfectly into the Crain than Taylor. Within a few minutes of knowing him, I realized how kind he was and that he has an obviously huge heart. His sweet spirit complements Destin’s personality perfectly. Not to mention, he LOVES her. The way he gazes at her makes it perfectly obvious that he was just as excited to be her husband as she was ecstatic to be his wife!

Destin & Taylor, you two deserve the world. I hope your marriage is everything you dreamed and more! I love you both & can’t wait to see what the future holds for you!
