July 6th was a very special wedding day to my heart as this was my first wedding where the bride was previously a bridesmaid at a different wedding that I photographed. Needless to say I was SO excited to hang out with TWO JA Brides (Julia – 2019 Bride & Taylor -2017 Bride) on the same day. Another part of the day that was so special was that Julia borrowed Taylor’s wedding veil as her something borrowed! I’ve never photographed the same veil twice before so I thought that was a pretty sweet touch & a great way to kick of this Summer Wedding in Trussville, Alabama!
Something else that I loved about the wedding day details in particular was that the center stone in Julia’s engagement ring was from Jacob’s mother. I love that such a sweet sentiment can continue to connect Julia & Jacob’s marriage to his parents as well. Speaking of having supportive parents, this wedding day had some of the sweetest mothers & fathers that I’ve ever met. When Julia’s sweet father prayed over her before she walked down the aisle the tears her mother shed said it all – that they loved their baby girl. Julia & Jacob even incorporated their parents into the wedding ceremony by having each set of parents light a candle & then took the flame from each of their parents’ candles to light their own. I’ve seen a lot of ceremony traditions, but that one was absolutely beautiful.
I may be a Louisiana girl that went to school in Mississippi that now lives in Tennessee, but after this weekend I am hear to say that Alabama has officially caught my eye! Julia & Jacob’s  Summer Wedding in Trussville, Alabama was one that I have been looking forward to for quite some time. After all one of the reasons I decided to move to Tennessee in the first place was for the rolling hills and lush greenery. To be able to travel 3 hours south & still have incredible views like these makes this job so fun!
Mr. & Mrs. Stanley, thank you SO much for letting me be a part of your wedding day! It meant the world to me to come along this journey with you! I know you two will have a beautiful marriage & I look forward to seeing all the joy that is to come in your future.
