Friends, it is really hard to explain to you just how excited I was for this Old Governor’s Mansion Wedding. When Meredith & Jacob first got in touch with me, I knew they would be the perfect JA couple. They were sweet, genuine, and sincerely cared more about their marriage above all else. With that said, they did choose quite possibly one of the most luxurious and beautiful venues that I had ever stepped in. I was blown away with how gorgeous it was!
The spiral staircase, elegant ballroom ceremony, it was all just so regal and pristine! As fancy as this wedding was, Meredith and Jacob were still so down to earth. Originally, the ceremony was supposed to be out doors but if you’re from Louisiana, you know how the summertime rain goes. But you guys! It. Was. Still. Perfect. I’m not exaggerating at all when I say, that the only single thing that mattered to these two was getting married. Rained out ceremony? Bring it on. These two were total champs! Even after the ceremony, they braved the wet front porch just so we could have some natural light photos for them. Can I just say how much I LOVE my JA couples?!
The rest of the night was spent in true Louisiana fashion, friends, family, dancing, and jambalaya for dinner! The perfect Saturday night if you ask me! I’m so thankful that at the end of the day, Meredith & Jacob got to have what they truly wanted; a ballroom full of the people they loved celebrated along with them as they enter their journey as husband and wife.
Meredith & Jacob, thank you SO much for trusting me to walk through this journey with you. It may have poured on your engagement session, and your wedding day, but never let it rain on the light you both shine. I love you guys! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Hudson!!! Make sure to tell Hawaii “Aloha!” for me!
