The end of our ten day camping adventure came to a close at Rocky Mountain National Park & I think it was the perfect end to our adventure. The landscape was truly something out of a dream. Every single second we spent in the park was so scenic that I had to pick my jaw up off of the ground a few times. It was amazing!
We stayed in a little town called Estes Park right outside of the Beaver Meadows entrance to the park. The quaint downtown area was full of restaurants, and gift shops all without feeling too touristy, it felt like the right amount to appreciate the fact I was on vacation, just minus the huge crowds that come with tourist traps.
Something I really loved about RMNP was that even though we were far away from Yellowstone, I felt as though the wildlife in Colorado was still extremely abundant! There were deer and elk pretty much around every corner. I never got tired of seeing those beautiful creatures as we drove through the winding roads on our way to a new hike!
In addition to the fauna, I found that the snowfall in RMNP was something I wasn’t expecting but thoroughly enjoyed! I figured in May, everything would surely be melted by then, but I was very wrong! My favorite hike of our entire trip was at a place called Dream Lake. It was just that, truly a dream. I think what made that view so special was the rich combination of mountain peaks, snowy summits, and the reflection of the two off of the pristine water of the lake. I could have sat there for hours and just stared in amazement at how beautiful it was.
The other moment that I was in absolute awe of my surroundings was during our anniversary session with Dani Cowan. Hunter & I decided on getting behind the camera on our trip and I am SO glad that we did! The pictures are AMAZING and I’m so glad we took the time to take those pictures! I can’t wait to share them with you all soon!
For now, enjoy some of my favorite photos from our little adventure in Rocky Mountain National Park!
