This session was a very special one to me. Not just because of the beautiful scenery, but because of the sweetest couple who have become dear friends of mine! I met Ethan & Gaby when they moved next door to our a little apartment in Starkville. After many doggie play dates, late nights playing card games, or watching Billy on the Street (HILARIOUS if you haven’t seen it), we consider these two some of our closest friends! The four of us share a love of pups, food, and Louisiana so basically we have an unbreakable bond! We absolutely love you guys and were so happy to FINALLY get you behind the camera at Waverly Mansion!

I could not picture a better location than Waverly Mansion in the spring. This Mississippi plantation has a history as rich as the grounds are beautiful! Built in the 1840s the home was a prime cotton growing fortress. Then after the original Young family’s children had all passed away in the early 1900s, the mansion was left to rot. Almost fifty years later, the Snow family fell in love with the home and have been restoring the mansion to its original beauty ever since. It is once again a showplace of architecture and history! If you ever get a chance to explore the home, I highly recommend it! We had a great time exploring the grounds together!

The weekend we took these pictures was the very first time my camera had seen the sun in months! In addition to the soft light that I was so happy to befriend again we also had some beautiful spring foliage that graced our presence too! The scenic backdrop of the house itself made this session one that I hope Ethan & Gaby will treasure forever.
