There isn’t anything quite like a love story. One thing I’ve learned from becoming a wedding photographer is how unique and beautiful each story is! So rather than telling my version of this Mississippi State couple’s story, I’d rather have it told from the leading lady! Who better to tell a love story than the bride herself? Take it away Future Mrs. Davis!
1.)How did you meet?
We both live in the same apartment complex! He only lived a few doors down from me and I actually knew some of his roommates. We had mutual friends and lived close by, so that’s how we got to know each other!
2.)What has been your favorite memory together thus far?
That’s so hard! The proposal was seriously the best day of my life. But I also loved the times we saw each other for the first time after we hadn’t seen each other in a while. (I’ve studied abroad twice and he interned in Jacksonville one semester) it’s the best feeling to finally see him after missing him. Not to mention he’s always good at surprising me with sweet things.
Like when I got back from studying in Spain he picked me up from the airport and took me to his apartment. He already cooked and had the table set waiting for me with one of my favorite meals!
We were on vacation at the beach with my family. His mom and step-dad came for a few days towards the end of the week. We (always) get up and go down to the beach early, but that day everyone else was dragging. So we went down by ourselves for a while. Then he said he was going to go upstairs to check on them. Little did I know he was going upstairs to get the ring and tell everyone that he was going to propose. He told them all that the next time I got up to go to the water he was going to do it. Not long after I asked him if he wanted to get in the water. He said yea but he was a little hesitant, so I just kept going. Then, he called my name and I turned around and he was down on one knee! Everyone knew and was ready to take pictures. It was so special because our family was there and it was at one of our favorite places! I couldn’t have planned it better if I tried.
4.)What are you most excited for on your wedding day?
Besides getting to marry my best friend, I’m excited to see his face when he gets his first look of me in my dress! (I never keep a secret this long) I’m so tempted to show him pictures but I’m also so excited to surprise him! Mostly, I’m the most excited to be married!
