Taylor Clark hasn’t even been apart of my life for a full year and yet I feel like I’ve known her for ages. When I first met Taylor, we immediately hit it off! I knew she and Drew were going to have such a sweet and celebratory day! When I first sat down with them at coffee to see if we would be a good fit, I saw so much of myself in Taylor from when I was a bride myself. The things that were important to her were as equally important to me! It was such an honor to be able to capture all the small details Taylor had spent months working on and finally see them all come together. From matching pajama sets and the brooch on her bouquet, Taylor really did think of everything. Which absolutely made my day not only easier, but so much fun as well! That attention to detail doesn’t just go for invitation fonts, I’m also talking about true love and the marriage that comes along with that kind of love.
Ask anyone that knows them, Taylor and Drew love each other deeply. They light up around one another and bring out one another’s biggest smiles! They are so very kind to everyone. It is very easy to become antsy on your wedding day especially when it starts raining! However, these two thought of only each other before during and after the ceremony. Since Drew was a meteorology major, Taylor joked that “It wouldn’t be mine & Drew’s wedding day without some rain!” . That sentence right there is such a testament that their hearts were purely set out on one mission and it wasn’t to have the perfect wedding day, it was to become husband and wife.
Taylor & Drew’s wedding took place at the Chapel of Memories at Mississippi State University on the gorgeous afternoon of September 23rd. Earlier in the day I was able to hang out with the bridesmaids at the Butler Guest House while Hunter spent time with the groomsmen. We had such a fun time getting to know everyone and laughing along! It’s always a treasure to see both brides and grooms truly enjoy themselves the morning of their wedding. Before the ceremony, Taylor and Drew met at the chapel to exchange some sweet words of excitement from behind a old wooden door. You could literally feel the excitement and overwhelming desire they had to finally be together and get married! After some tears were shed, it was showtime! Queue more tears from sweet Drew. You know I try to be as professional as possible on a wedding day, but guys as sweet as Drew, make it so difficult not to get emotional! Watching him fall apart for his bride was such a treasure to capture. Shortly after, they were married! Following the ceremony, the couple had a grand exit complete with lots of lavender out of the chapel doors! The reception followed at the Hunter Henry Center where Taylor & Drew’s closest friends and family rejoiced with them on their new journey that had begun. I saw so many happy laughs and smiling faces, there would be no way to count them all. Joyful is one of the only words I can use to explain the environment that was present throughout Taylor & Drew’s special day.
