July 15th was absolutely one of the most anticipated weddings for me this year. It was such a privilege to be able to capture the most important day for one of my childhood friends. I was extremely grateful for the opportunity and I knew that Elizabeth would be such a beautiful bride! Well, fast-forward to today, I was absolutely right!
As soon as I walked into Grace Presbyterian in Starkville, it all started to come together for me that the special day was here! Sweet Mrs. Gina (better known as Mother of the Bride) hugged my neck and I could see the excitement on her face! Once Elizabeth arrived I got to capture some sweet laughs she had with her bridesmaids. Rachel, Sarah, and Shelly are actually Elizabeth’s sisters. It was very sweet for there to be such an intimate group of girls for Elizabeth to call her bridesmaids that she had loved for so many years. There isn’t anything quite like the bond of sisterhood!
Before too much longer Elizabeth was very eager to see her sweet groom! Can you blame her? Have you SEEN Daniel’s dimples?! He’s precious and she looked gorgeous. It was time to let these two really begin enjoying their wedding day together!
After leading Elizabeth into the chapel where she would soon be married, Daniel turned around and lit up when he saw his bride to be! It was practically magic seeing these two so happy!
In the ceremony there were some laughs, tears (myself included), and a general sense of awe in the sanctification of Elizabeth and Daniel’s wedding. The presence of the Lord was clearly evident in this process. Before I knew it these two were married!
Following the ceremony, the bride and groom braved the Mississippi heat to take some outdoor portraits. I am still to this day so proud of them for laughing so hard while the Southern humidity tried its best to ruin the day. These two champs wouldn’t let anything take away their moment in the sun, literally y’all it’s HOT this summer in Starkvegas. You two are awesome for handling the heat the way you did!
Following the ceremony we made our way over to the Mill for some food, laughter, and love. This crowd sure knew how to dance the night away, especially those honorary bridesmaids! This reception was also extremely fun to me because it was practically a FBC Slidell reunion, which was the church Elizabeth, and I grew up in! I haven’t been in a room with so many loved ones since my own wedding day! It was a privilege to be on the other side of the lens capturing so many people that I’ve loved my entire life.
The fun continued on for several hours and then it was time to send the two newlyweds off! The bride and groom practically BOLTED through an aisle of their closest friends to begin their new journey as husband and wife.
Elizabeth and Daniel, I love you both and I am so grateful to have captured the happiest day of your life! I wish you both many blessings and I’ll see you around in Nashville next year!
