From the lace to the gorgeous blush color palette this afternoon spent in Kentwood, LA was an absolute dream. I want to share some of my favorite shots of The White Magnolia Styled Shoot I was fortunate enough to be apart of!
At first the two weren’t sure if they would be able to get married in front of the old barn on the property due to rain, but we all kept our fingers crossed! As soon as the ceremony finished & Elizabeth & Jason were introduced as Mr. & Mrs. Cross, rain fell from the sky!
Celebrating each couple’s unique romance is what makes being a wedding photographer so fun for me! Each wedding day is special and unique, varying seasons, flowers, and colors, but my love for each of them is always the same. I hope you enjoy my recap of 2019 weddings!
Of course every single bride wants to feel like a princess on their wedding day. However, for Mary Catherine, she not only looked like a princess, she had so many Disney accents throughout her spring wedding at Dodson Farms, that it really was like she was Disney royalty! From her cake topper, adorable grooms cake, Mickey wine glasses, and my personal favorite, a hidden Mickey right in Mary Catherine’s bouquet, this bride and groom were able to sprinkle so much magical pixie dust throughout their celebration! As I’m typing these words, Mary Catherine & Carter are even honeymooning in Walt Disney World!Â
I had the absolute privilege of getting to know Mary Catherine when we were classmates back at Mississippi State. I was thrilled when she asked me to photograph this season of her life as she begins married life with Carter! The love these two have for one another is undeniable. They both have the extraordinary gift of being unfailing kind so it’s really no wonder that two souls like that found and clung to each other. Aside from their kindness, it really was such a treat to see how happy they made one another throughout the first day that their marriage began!
They also have impeccable taste in wedding venues as Dodson Farms was an absolute gem. I’m so sad that it wasn’t around when I lived in Starkville as it would have been an absolute treat to photograph weddings there more often! I am so happy that Starkville has this new little gem for brides and grooms to celebrate their wedding here at this beautiful location. The beautiful tree that Mary Catherine & Carter chose to get married underneath made for one of the prettiest backdrops i have ever seen for a wedding! I do have a little bias as someone who also got married underneath a tree, but still! Every single thing about this day was gorgeous, romantic, and lovely. I’m so glad to have been a small part!
Special thanks to Laura Bowman Photography for coming alongside me to help with this wedding! Photographing a wedding while 6 months pregnant would have been so much more difficult without your help. Thank you so much!
