Welcome to my Home Office Tour!
This room inspires me daily, and I am so in love with it for so many reasons but especially because:
- My Nashville commute to work is about 15 steps from my bed. VERY different from the rest of the city’s commute!
- It’s so bright, airy, and joyful. Just like the work I try to create in it!
- I’m actually EXCITED to go to work everyday.
I put my heart and soul into the design of this space. I’ve been piecing it together, and dreaming up my vision for almost a year now. When Hunter & I moved into this house, it was going to be the first time that I had my own dedicated space for an office & I was THRILLED! Below I’ve attached as many links as I could find for everything that I’ve used to transform my office space into the blush & gold haven that it is today!
There are many different elements to my home office that are extremely personal to me that you wouldn’t know based on the pretty pictures below. Like I said, I put my soul into this space so now I’d like you to know a little bit more of what this space means to me!
Personal Elements
Map Gallery Wall:
Over the years I have been so blessed to travel to so many extraordinary places. One of the items I love to take home more than a t-shirt or trinket, is a painting from a street vendor. These artists obviously put so much effort and creativity into their work. They inspire me immensely, and I love being able to glance at them every time I need a creative burst.
Bells:
As a Mississippi State graduate & forever Bulldog, it should not come as a surprise that my office features a cowbell. However the other bell actually belonged to my grandmother that passed away in 2009. She collected pretty little bells, and I’m very thankful I get to have one of those in my office now.
Cross Painting:
This little piece is so special to me. One of my incredibly sweet JA Brides made this gorgeous cross and gifted to me on her own wedding day! She was so very kind and generous to think of me and her other vendors on her special day! I’m so grateful for brides and grooms that make me feel like so much more than a photographer.
Graduation Cap:
“Have Courage & Be Kind.” was my motto in college & it still continues to be my favorite little saying. I don’t have any tattoos but if I did, that would most likely be one!
Photo of Hunter, Lily, & Jacque:
This is probably the single most important item in my entire office to me. I took this photo with a polaroid in December 2017. Hunter & I were still long distance, and I was in my senior year of college. It was without a doubt, the most stressed I had ever been in my entire life. I actually had my first panic attack during this time, my body could no longer keep up with how stressed I was. It was horrifying.
So what does that have to do with this picture?
I remember taking this photo was one of my only moments of happiness during that time. It served as an encouragement to push through the hard seasons so that Hunter & I would have the life that we dreamed of. This tiny photo served as a beacon of hope for me. I kept in my car, slept with it under my pillow, I took it everywhere.
Now, it serves as a reminder to me to never forget how incredibly hard I had to work to get to the place I am now.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about my office space and what it means to me! I hope it brightens up your day, and inspires you to a create a space that brings out the best in you too!
